In 2025, our Annual Gathering will look a little different—we’re stripping back the format and holding a reimagined event, inspired by the historic teach-in movement.
The Teach-in Movement
Teach-ins are part of a long, impactful organizing legacy. Previous teach-in movements in the U.S. shifted culture and advanced policies around anti-war, environmental justice, anti-gun violence, and racial justice activism.
This Year’s Theme
Community mobilization is essential for strengthening the movement to cultivate justice, fight climate change, and build resilience in our food system.

The Annual Gathering is a yearly opportunity for our region to come together around San Diego County Food Vision 2030 as we work on implementing its ten objectives.
San Diego County Food Vision 2030 is a shared vision, plan, and movement for transforming our region’s food system. With three goals, ten objectives, and detailed strategies to inform policy, program, planning, and investment opportunities, Food Vision 2030 serves as a call to action and political compass as we work together toward a more equitable and resilient future for all.
