Farm to School (F2S), San Diego Unified School District

San Diego Unified’s Farm to School (F2S) program started in 2010 with salad bars and locally grown produce in school meals. Since then, they have expanded F2S to support school gardens and provide hands-on nutrition education.

Second Chance Youth Garden

Second Chance’s mission is to disrupt the cycle of incarceration by helping at-risk youth and justice-involved people toward empowered self-sufficiency. Their Youth Garden serves young leaders ages 14-21 as they gain hands-on experience with urban agriculture. Purchase their produce through CSA, restaurants, and pop-up farm stands.

Treedom Cooperative + Project New Village
Morse High School Community Garden Tour
Treedom Cooperative promotes a permaculture-style approach to regenerative urban agriculture, water harvesting, and waste management. Since 2020 they have transformed spaces into productive ecosystems, empowering their community with educational resources and environmentally conscious practices.
